Jessica’s Western Wear, 7015 N. Clark St.

When approaching from the South, the large paint-by-number-style mural on the side of Jessica’s grabs your attention from afar. In the storefront, the right window presents fashions and shoes for the ladies in a conventional manner. But the left window incorporates many decorative oddities into the display, including the essential stuffed mongoose, which forms the centerpiece of a collection that includes steer skulls, plastic ponies, fighting cocks, and a mystery object that is half liqour decanter and half hugging-tree-lifeform.
